Charlotte joined the
society in 1988 in order to fulfill her calling as Gertie
the Goose, a role she went on to repeat in pantomime
the following year! She has gone on to play several roles
over the years including her memorable performance as
Violet in Steaming. Charlotte says she enjoys
acting once she's crossed the painful barrier of
remembering lines. She has also put her great
organisational skills into regular productions as stage
manager. Charlotte resides in Lincoln and is married to David. Now retired from her position as Tutor of people with disabilities in Mansfield, Charlotte has more time to enjoy museums, gardening, fell walking and visiting the theatre. She especially enjoys her regular camping visits to the Edinburgh Festival. Charlotte has been a committee member for many years and is kept the society moving from strength to strength in her three year stint as Chairman of the Lindsey Rural Players. The 2001 AGM awarded Charlotte with Honorary Life Membership in recognition of her commitment. Charlotte is extremely interested in the Broadbent Theatre's history and her research has provided invaluable assistance in the development of this website. |
