Sorry for burdening you all with that, but it was something that i had to say. in any case, I'm looking forwards to the Xmas show and of course Mother Goose! And I'm sure that Dell would wish us all the best for btoh of them. Hope to see you all soon!

We saw a class act at the Broadbent this evening when Fine Time Fontayne performed "Richard Matthewman".  This very fine actor gave an outstanding performance of wit, humour and sensitivity.  What a pity the audience wasn't larger to enjoy this wonderful performance from a top-notch actor but I think the prolonged applause left Mr Fontayne in no doubt how much the audience enjoyed a first-class one-man show.  Not a bad musician either!  A great night!

Comments: I agree with James Robinson who commended past pantomime productions; there have been some excellent pantomimes and I enjoyed every one.  Graham Davidson did a wonderful job, year on year, writing his original scripts, with Mary's very apt song lyrics.  But Sinbad was a new approach to panto, refreshing, colourful, beautifully set, and with a deviation from the slapstick/old panto jokes routine.  That's not to take anything away from these; they are great usually but just occasionally it is good to have something slightly different and Sinbad was a good vehicle for this cast, especially with some new youngsters in it. Good luck to them.  Keep up the good work, LRP.
