Member Profile: Steve Channing |
Steve left
teaching in 1999 and now lives in the Binbrook area with
an attractive array of guitars and an old not so
attractive border collie. These days he immerses himself
in music, both performing and writing. Steve has many jolly memories of LRP... the bonhomie, the continual pain of learning lines, the high dramas and the low rehearsal temperatures. He remembers the kindness and hard work of all involved and the very real desire to get it right. Steve's claim to fame is that he wrote and directed one of the Broadbent's very first pantomimes, Green Door, back in 1983 and thereby started a long tradition which has followed every year since. Steve's two daughters also love to act and will hopefully carry on the family tradition of performance... "Probably as exotic dancers", Steve tells me. Steve would be happy to reacquaint himself with other members so if you remember him, why not drop him an email. |
