Member Profile: Betty Proctor |
Betty was the Pianist for LRP in
the pre-Broadbent Theatre days. She was trained in music in
Manchester and until recently played for the Choral Society in Market
Rasen. Betty was also a stalwart member of the Holton Players
from the time she moved to Tealby with her husband Hugh and saw the
Holton Players in "Arms and the Man". One of
the first plays she performed in was "Night Must
Fall" Of the plays that Betty was cast in, she tells me
that she usually got the maid's part!
Betty wrote the music for "Murder in the Red Barn" which was the play that had to relocate to De Aston School after the Country Theatre (Nissen Hut) at Holton famously burned down. |
