Annie Get Your Gun

~Performed by LRP at Welton Village Hall ~
music & lyrics by Irvine Berlin ~ book by Herbert & Dorothy Fields
produced & directed by Nancy Jones

...Notes from the programme...

Lindsey Rural Players thank you for supporting this show, our fourth since the Society began in 1969. We have now acquired our own theatre at Wickenby; this was since 1878, a Methodist Chapel, and through a substantial grant from the Lindsey Association of Youth Clubs, and the financial support of Holton Players, we have been able to alter this building and it will be ready for use in Autumn of 1972. We shall welcome you to the 'Country Theatre' at Wickenby for our future productions.

This musical has a timeless appeal to all audiences. It is gay and colourful, with some of the best songs in show business. The characters of Annie Oakey, Buffalo Bill and Sitting Bull are immortalised in the lyrics and score of Irving Berlin, and have passed into musical history.
