Douglas Ballard  (1914-1994)

 

 
Douglas Ballard , as well as Roy Broadbent, played a key part in the acquisition and conversion of Wickenby's Methodist Chapel in the early seventies. Douglas was recognised for this and his further lengthy commitment to LRP when he accepted the committee's nomination as LRP's first ever President on March 14th 1992.  After holding this position for a year Douglas nominated Jim Broadbent to succeed him.

Douglas was a member of the Holton Players (from which LRP was born in 1969). He was also a member of Lincoln's Phoenix Players.
