LRP’s 2012 Panto will be Sleeping Beauty

Lindsey Rural Players have announced that the 2012 pantomime at the Broadbent Theatre will be “Sleeping Beauty” by Alan Stoney.

The panto which opens at the end of January and runs until February 11th will be directed by Juliana Hogg and Patrick Markham. Juliana and Patrick last worked together in this capacity when they produced “Cinderella it’s a Kind of Magic” at the Broadbent Theatre in 2003.

LRP are involving local school children by asking them to compete in producing a design for the poster.  Audiences, adults and children alike, are also invited to get involved by turning up to the show dressed as their favourite pantomime character.

Tickets have gone on sale today and are available online at broadbent.org or by phoning the Box Office on 01673 885500

The first reading/audition night took place on Wednesday. We were very pleased with the turn out and we are well on the way to being able to cast the production. A further reading/audition session takes place tomorrow (Sunday 9th) afternoon at 3pm. We look forward to welcoming more people along to join in the fun. Old hands and new faces alike, you’ll all be very welcome.
