Another sell out performance at the Broadbent theatre last Sunday 24th Sept marked the run up to the iconic venue’s 40th year.

Northumberland touring company performed Tartuffe to an ecstatic capacity audience.

Recent introduction of new technology and online booking system has brought the historical venue right up to date. As Patrick Markham, the webmaster, explained, “booking is so easy now, we have invested in the latest technology to enable secure on line payments at no extra charge. Beating the queue and ensuring a seat at another sell out performance makes the whole experience worthwhile.”

Further plans to make the theatre sustainable for the next 40 years and beyond include, looking into the feasibility of matching up people to share lifts and an upgraded heating and insulating scheme to help keep down costs, saving fuel and carbon emmissions ”
