Dick Whittington comes to The Broadbent Theatre

  Lindsey Rural Players
present
“Dick Whittington”
by Jan Allen
directed by Abi Wright

Following the success of ‘Snow White’ the team of Jan Allen (Scriptwriter) and Director Abi Wright are back in partnership again for our annual panto.

This year the story of the young man, who, together with his cat, made the journey from rags to riches to become Lord Mayor of London.

Once again a traditional pantomime, with song and dance, corny jokes, custard pies and plenty of thigh slapping.

Will Tom the Cat beat the evil King Rat?
Will  Dick get the girl and live happily ever after?
Will Prunella the Pirate Queen sail off into the sunset with Harry?
Will Fairy Orange Peal
& Fairy Lemon Peal ever get a spell right?
Will Dame Daphne Dumpling get her man?
Will the audience participation song ever end?

We are doing well in rehearsals and it is coming on well. We can’t wait to start and get it out of the way!

We went to the rehearsal on Sunday and I really enjoyed what I saw. I also had a good laugh!
